Larry passed away Saturday evening, November 2, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born April 13, 1938 in Kinderhook, MI the son of the late Harry and Alice (Eastwood) Homan. He was a veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps for 28 years and was employed by the Fetzer Broadcasting Company, Kalamazoo. Larry was a ham radio operator, pistol marksman, member of the Paw Paw Conservation Club, enjoyed fishing and music. On April 21, 1961 in Kalamazoo, Larry was united in marriage to Edythe M. (Nimitz) Homan who survives. Also surviving are their K-9 child, Daisy, brother, Deloy Homan of Kalamazoo; 2 nieces, Debby Homan of Kalamazoo and Sandra (John) Strenk of MN; nephew, Thomas (Lisa) Nimitz of Detroit; great niece and nephew, dear friends, Joann (Frederick) Cornelius of Paw Paw; Mary Kennedy and Diane Campbell of Mattawan and Ann Philips of Portage. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 6 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where funeral services will be held Thursday 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps Toys for tots.
