Kenneth Lee Spencer, age 59 passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Kenneth was born December 25, 1958 in Paw Paw, Michigan the son of Lawrence and Lois (Mauk) Spencer. He was a lifelong farmer, cattleman and outdoorsman. Kenneth was very creative working with wood. He loved hunting, canoeing and just being outdoors in the woods. Kenneth was a true farmer and was very self-sufficient. He was a very hard-working man. Kenneth loved music. One thing about Kenneth, that many did not know was he was a great harmonica player; he loved playing the blues. Kenneth will be dearly missed.

Kenneth is survived by his father; L. Lewis Spencer of Lawton, brother; Tom Spencer of Lawton, sister; Gayle (Ken) Beach of Paw Paw, nephew; Lee (Abbigail) Beach of Paw Paw, great-nephew; Cameron Beach of Paw Paw, great-niece; Bryn Beach of Paw Paw and last but not least his canine best friend; Febee.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his mother; Lois Spencer of Lawton and a great-niece; RaeLeigh Scott Beach of Paw Paw.

Memorial Service for Kenneth will take place Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 12:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 604 E. 3rd St., Lawton MI  49065 with Reverend Lonnie Carpenter to officiate. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the Spencer family 1 hour prior to the service. Inurnment to follow the memorial service in Chamberlin Cemetery.  Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider; Wishes of the Spencer family, C/O L. Lewis Spencer, First Baptist Church or West Michigan Cancer Center of Kalamazoo.
