Kenneth R. Luce, a devoted father, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Kenneth, who was known as "Kenny" was born on January 14, 1984, in Allegan, Michigan, the son of Robert L. Luce Sr. and Tamara (Vincent) Austin. As a young boy, you could always find Kenny playing with his collection of Hot Wheel cars, his beloved turtles and stirring up good trouble around the town.
Kenny loved to travel. He lived in Pennsylvania and Texas, yet he still found his way back to Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, nature walks and most of all, Kenny adored his two daughters: Kaylei and Katelyn Luce.
Kenny is remembered as a kind, funny, loving and extremely generous man. Kenny was a very giving soul and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who may have needed it. Some may argue he was a little too generous at times but that was just Kenny's nature. He worked for Kalamazoo Metal Recyclers as a truck driver for many years before medically retiring. He thoroughly enjoyed traveling all around the United States and Mexico while on the job. He loved all the fun and interesting adventures and experiences truck driving brought to him.
Kenny is survived by his daughters, who meant the world to him; Kaylei and Katelyn Luce, father; Robert (Carol) Luce Sr., mother; Tamara Austin, brothers; James Luce, Robert (Denise) Luce Jr., and Andrew Kosloski, sisters; Kimberly (John) Cavenor and Nevaeh Luce, dear friends; Katherine and Tony Caporossi, his cousin who he considered a brother; James Williams, two former stepsisters; Staci and Kristi Gates and former stepmother; Kathy Little, who raised him.
Kenny was preceded in death by his brother, Nathaniel Luce.
Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw, where a funeral service will commence at 1:00 p.m. Kenny will be laid to rest at Covey Hill Cemetery in Almena.
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
