Ken passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born June 11, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan the son of the late Richard and Genevieve (Goik) Kerkau. Ken was employed by General Motors in Kalamazoo as a supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and going to the casino. On December 31, 1981 in Bay City, MI, Ken was united in marriage to Nancy Carol Irving who preceded him in death on October 11, 2007. He was also preceded in death by a son, Rick J. Kerkau and a brother, Richard Kerkau. Surviving are 8 children, Kenneth Kerkau, Cheryl Kerkau, Debra Kerkau, Christopher Kerkau, Constance Kerkau, Terrence Kerkau, Karen Kerkau and Eric Kerkau; 3 step-children, Kathy (Robert) Taber, David (Stephanie) Moore and Laurie (Tony) Changaris; 3 brothers, Hubert, James and John Kerkau; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. As per Ken's request there will no visitation or services and cremation has taken place.
