Karen Lee Root, 69, of Bloomingdale, passed away September 6, 2014 at Bronson Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born June 15, 1945 in Hobbs, New Mexico, to the late Howard and Joy (Burnham) Olson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garry root, and brother, Douglas Olson. Survivors include her daughter, Diane (Daniel) Norg of Paw Paw, and son, Steven Kilburn of Mattawan; grandchildren, Jaimee Norg, Chelsie Norg, Tyler Norg, Andria Kilburn; great granddaughter, Eve Peterson; sister and best friend, Marcia Dubbeld of Climax; siblings, Clark Olson and Denise Waite; special niece, Heather Dubbeld; nephews Daniel and Matthew Dubbeld along with several other nieces and nephews. Karen enjoyed spending time outside working in her flower gardens, spending time with her family and friends and always enjoyed talking to new people and getting to know them. She was truly a one of a kind person who will be greatly missed by all of us who loved her and knew her. Cremation has taken place and the family will be having a private memorial to celebrate her life.
