Joseph Forajter

Joseph Forajter, age 87, of Paw Paw, passed away Saturday February 20, 2021 at his home in Paw Paw.

Joseph was born December 18, 1933 in Suzno, Poland, the son of the late Michael Forajter and Ksawera Forajter.

Prior to moving to Michigan, Joe retired from Local 1 Boilermakers (Welder) in Chicago, where he also coached little league for many years. He was a fourth degree active member of the Knights of Columbus Council 3798, Paw Paw.

On June 20, 1959, in Chicago, he married Charlotte (Kawka) Forajter who survives.

He is also survived by his two sons, Joseph Forajter, Jr., and Thomas (Karen) Forajter Sr.; five grandchildren, Thomas (Amanda) Forajter Jr., Meghan Jo, Kevin (Allison) Forajter, Joseph M. Forajter and Tyler Forajter, sister in law Barbara Forayter,  along with many nieces and nephews.

Joe was preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Forajter and his brother, Walter Forayter.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Mary Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial will conclude at Saint Mary Cemetery.
