John William Knutson, 77, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on October 27, 1942 in Grand Haven, MI, the son of Trygvi and Madelyne (Mitchell) Knutson.
John attended Piedmont Bible College in Winston Salem, NC. He helped start Dynamic Design with Hugh Broersma in Holland MI and then went on to start his own successful business, National Tech Design. John pastored at Calvary Baptist Church in Gobles, MI as well as Community Bible Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ. Many people knew him as a missions Evangelist to church planters and small churches in the Western US and Canada. He loved the human race and he has made so many memories with friends from all over the states.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors in general. He loved to read, thrift shop, and spend time with his family.
Surviving are his Children, Kimberly (Ronald) Kammeraad, Kristi (Kim) Meyering, Timothy (Dana) Knutson, Grandchildren, Jim (Angela) Kammeraad, Jon (Rebekah) Kammeraad, Jeff (Danielle) Kammeraad, Anna Stone, Jared (Joy) Meyering, Kaitlyn (Tony) Sherman, Autumn Knutson, Dakotah Knutson, Katrina Knutson, 18 Great-Grandchildren, and two more on the way; Brothers, Dean (Carol) Knutson and Clarke (Ann) Knutson, as well as nieces, nephews, friends, and other loving family. John was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years, Ginny Knutson in November 2019, a brother, Roger Knutson, a daughter, Katrina Elizabeth Knutson, and a few great-grandchildren.
Due to the current health crisis, services will be private family only, held at Calvary Baptist Church. Internment will take place in Grand Haven, Michigan.
