John “Jack” Edward Herbert, age 73, of Lawton, passed away January 19, 2017. He was born July 14, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Robert and Eleanore (Winters) Herbert. Jack is survived by his wife, Mildred “Cookie” Herbert, three children, Deanna (Shawn) Jurgensen, John R. (Seana) Herbert of Tampa Florida and Bill (Amanda) Herbert, eight grandchildren, Samantha, Shawn, Bill, Luke, Destin, Daisy, Ellie and Sally, brothers, Robert (Sylvia) Herbert, William (Linda) Herbert and Michael (Trixie) Herbert, one sister, Jeanne (Tom) Wickwire along with many nieces and nephews. Jack is preceded in death by his sisters, Fran and Ceil. Jack served his country in the Air Force and retired from Welch’s in Lawton. Jack took great enjoyment spending time with his grandchildren, supporting them in sports. He enjoyed telling a good story, playing golf and working in his yard. Jack and Cookie enjoyed many trips they won by entering sweepstakes over the years. Friends are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw.
