Janice Marie Hoehn (Pothast), age 71, of Bangor, passed away November 6, 2015. She was born December 17, 1943 in Lima Ohio to the late Cornelius and Mildred (Pohlman) Pothast. She is survived by her three children; Robert (Rebecca) Hoehn, Sandra (Michael) Kauffman, and Michael (Laura) Hoehn, seven grandchildren; Amanda (Roman) Matthews, Lauren Hoehn, Alexander, Kathleen, and Kristen Kauffman, Justin and Jessica Hoehn, two great grandchildren; Isaac and Benjamin Matthews, one brother, Ronald (Jane) Pothast, three sisters; Mary (Ted) Maag, Darlene (Don) Moenter, and Sue (Steve) Clark. Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hoehn and her sister, Jean (Ray) Kleman. Jan retired from the Vineyard Press in Paw Paw in 2015. She was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Church where she was active with the Daughters of Mary, the Paczki Dance Coordinator and the Council President. Jan was very active in the Paw Paw community where she served as President of the Paw Paw Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Paw Paw Christmas Parade and Paw Paw Days Car Show, as well serving on the board for the Wine and Harvest Festival and board member of the Chamber Ambassador Committee. With being so active in her community, Jan was awarded volunteer of the year for the Wine and Harvest Festival, Heart of Gold Award and volunteer of the year award from the Paw Paw Chamber. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 2-8 p.m., at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 W., Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral services for Jan will be held Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home, proceeding to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 Walnut St., Bangor, for mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Robert Johansen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Daughters of Mary at Sacred Heart Church or to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
