James Babin, age 58, of Sugar Land, Texas passed away May 1, 2016. He was born October 29, 1957, in Paw Paw, Michigan to the late Lenard and Bernice Babin. James is survived by his wife of 37 years, Tina, two children, Jason (Sara) Babin and Ashley (Thomas) Kolenko, five grandchildren, Maddux, Talan and Bronson Babin, Ariella and Camden Kolenko. James was the youngest of of five, three sisters survive, Carol Staniszewski, Kathy Sutton and Mary Arbanas. He is preceded in death by his sister Deborah Babin. James was an entrepreneur and master electrician. James and Tina moved to Texas in 2008 to be close to their children and grandchildren. In Texas, he and Tina owned and operated Industrial Security Company. James was a true family man, a loving husband, father and grandfather. He supported, loved and cherished his wife. He shared a huge role in his children and grandchildren's scholastic and athletic events. Big Jim's huge heart with his unfiltered personality made sitting down for a cup of coffee an adventure. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday, May 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Mass of Christian burial will follow Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Cremation will follow.Memorial contributions in James memory may be directed to, the Houston Aphasia Recovery Center, the National Stroke Association or to the Paw Paw Rocket Football Association.
