Jacob Kozul

July 24, 1981 — August 23, 2018

Grand Rapids

Jacob Paul Kozul, age 37, of Grand Rapids, passed away August 23, 2018. He was born July 24, 1981 in Kalamazoo. Jake is survived by his loving wife Kara Rozin and their fur child Arnie. Jake is also survived by his mother Judy (Arnie) Redsicker, his father John “Duke” Kozul, and brother Michael (Neddie) Kozul.
Jacob understood that life is better off shared. He will be remembered for his infectious personality, wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. Jake had many hobbies but above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, of which there were many. Friends could always count on Jake to bring laughter and levity into their lives.   Following a career in banking, Jacob eventually enjoyed independence and success through real estate investing. Over the years he amassed many properties throughout the Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo communities. Jake found great purpose in his work by putting people before business. He took pride in being able to provide so many people and families with places to call home.
There will be two opportunities for friends and loved ones to pay their respects.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 30th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. The family will also receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, September 1st from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church,  2 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in his name to Craine's Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation at www.akroncf.org/give/crainefund.
