Ivan Leslie McIntyre, age 89, of Paw Paw, passed away October 30, 2016. He was born to the late Charles and Minnie Mae (Floyd) McIntyre on November 1, 1926 in Shelby Michigan. Ivan is survived by his wife, Kathleen, five children, Sandy (Bill) Mashak, Teri (Artie) Williams, Richard McIntyre, Paul (Suzie) McIntyre and Mike McIntyre, 15 grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, four step-great grandchildren, son in law, Gerry Burnham and one step-sister, Karyn Calvin. Ivan was preceded in death by his daughter, Joyce Burnham, his sister, Joyce Koshar, step-sister, LaVeryl Iler and his dog and best friend, Barney. Ivan served his country in the Army during WWII, he retired after 50 years and more than 8 million miles of driving truck. He was an avid animal lover and sports fan, he enjoyed the Detroit Tigers and Lions, he also enjoyed hockey and was part of the Kwings Booster Club. In retirement, Ivan spent time camping and traveling to hockey games. Friend are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 W, Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. Ivan will be laid to rest on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta Michigan. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Hospice or to the charity of choice.
