Horace Felton Goodwin

Horace Felton Goodwin, 87, of Paw Paw, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023, at his home.

He was born January 7, 1936, in Moulton, Alabama, the son of the late Garth E. Goodwin and Mollie (Heflin) Goodwin.

Horace served his country in the Army from 1954 to 1958. He enjoyed tinkering with lawn mowers, working around his property and gardening. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting.

On January 11, 1959, in Paw Paw, he married Shirley Lorraine (Wert) Goodwin who survives.

He is also survived by his two daughters, Cathy Goodwin and Kelly (Randy) Block, one son; Gary Goodwin, 11 grandchildren, Tyler (Tom) Moeslein, Tanner (Jake) Miller, Taegan (Andrew Romstadt) Block, Mitchell, Tyler, Charlee, Jackson, Ava, Jennifer, Cindy and Vince Goodwin, five great grandchildren, Olivia, Ellen, Levi and Audrey Moeslein and Hudson Miller, one brother; Rocky Goodwin, sister; Peggy Kniss; and his extended family members, Candy and Taylon Staggs. Horace was preceded in death by his sisters, Polly Cross and Helen Harp.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, August 30, 2023, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rocky Goodwin officiating. Burial will conclude at Wildey Cemetery with military honors.
