Helen M. Palasinski passed away on Tuesday October 3, 2017 with her son Stanley Jr. at her side, in his home in Palm Springs, Ca, after a 3yr illness. Helen was born June 27, 1929 in Chicago Illinois to the late John M. Freer and Margaret (Schuh) Freer. Helen graduated from Lawton High School, in 1947.
Helen met and married Stanley A. Palasinski at St. Mary’s Church July 2, 1949. Helen was employed at the Lawton Bank and then Warner Vineyards Winery. She retired in 1990. Helen and her husband were members of the Knights of Columbus, the American Legion and St. Mary’s Church of Paw Paw.
Surviving are four sons, Richard (Beth) Palasinski of Paw Paw, Peter (Betsy) Palasinski of Sturgis, Paul Palasinski of Bangor and Stanley Palasinski JR of Palm Springs, CA. Two sisters, Rosemary (Jake) Kuivenhoven, of Schoolcraft and Dorothy (Harold) Hande of Paw Paw, Treasured sister-in-law Mary Bonarski, of Kalamazoo. Cherished friend Deborah Wells, Buena Park, CA. She has four grandchildren, Carrie Miles of Portage MI, Annie Stone of Spring Arbor MI, Hannah Palasinski of Atlanta GA and Caitlin Palasinski also of Atlanta GA along with two great grandchildren, Zane Miles and Flora Stone.
The family will be receiving friends on Friday October 13, 2017 at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W Michigan Ave. Paw Paw, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Rosary service will be held at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Church 209 N Brown St. Paw Paw, with Fr. Joseph Xavier officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
