Helen passed away peacefully Friday morning, November 23, 2012 at her home in Paw Paw. She was born March 21, 1930 in Lawrence, Michigan, the daughter of the late Nelson "Kelly" and Helena (Decker) Hill. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Michigan University in education and was a teacher for over 30 years. She was married to James C. Mann for 64 years who precede her in death on March 13, 2007. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, three sisters, three brothers, and one grandson. She loved music, gardening, and education, was a member of St. Paul's Methodist Church in Lawton, Order of Eastern Star, the MEA, Red Hat Lady's, and many other organizations. She volunteered for the Bronson Lakeview Hospital Auxiliary, the Van Buren Intermediate School District teaching people to read who could never read, and very much enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was published in the Cambridge Who's Who in September, 2010. She is survived by a daughter, Helen J. Dreier (Mann); son Toby J. Mann; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday 6 -8 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where services will be held at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Douglas Vernon of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Lawton officiating. Interment will follow in Wildey Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Pauls' United Methodist Church, Lawton or the SPCA of Southwest MI.
