Hedwig passed away on Sunday, May 15 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Hedwig was born on August 30, 1928 in Knetzgau, Germany to the late Kasper and Barbara Firmbach. Hedwig attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Paw Paw. She loved to spend time in the garden and enjoyed caring for her dog. Hedwig is survived by a niece, Gloria Stark; 2 nephews, Bernard and Carlos Stark; a niece and 2 nephews in Germany. Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 19 from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to Borgess Intensive Care Unit or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
