George John Scukanec

George John Scukanec ‘Scorch’ (age 75) of Paw Paw passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice in the early morning hours of Wednesday August 7th. George was born on January 9th 1944 in Chicago, IL. A lifelong resident of Paw Paw, he graduated from PPHS Class of 1962. George was an avid fisherman, pool player, and Chicago sports fan, and loved being a Poppy to his grandchildren. He was retired from his career as a Mechanical Estimator and spent his final years enjoying his family, friends, and hobbies. He is survived by his daughter Chelsey (Jeff) Lasinski of Lawton, Grandchildren Emma and Mason Sams, and Owen Lasinski of Lawton, sister Darlene (Joseph) Tragna of South Haven, Nephew Jayd Weyenberg, Great Nephew Chase Weyenberg and Aunt Mary Ann Scukanec, along with many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father and Mother, George and Evelyn Scukanec. There will be a Celebration of Life at a date to be announced.
