George passed away on Monday, July 23, 2012 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. George was born April 23, 1924 in Aleppo, Syria, the son of the late (Frenchman) Elias and Ashma (Koloustian) Moussalli. As an architect he designed many churches, schools and hospitals here and abroad, many of them in the Peoria, IL area. He was an inventor and a porcelain sculptor and was a very talented builder. He was known and loved for telling stories of his amazing life. In his later years he enjoyed attending Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw. In 1955, George was united in marriage to his loving wife of 50 years, Matilda (Matcovich), who preceded him in death in 2005. George was also preceded by 5 siblings, Henrietta, Georgette, Richard, Marcel and Simonette. George is survived by his children, Dr. Richard (Kathy) Moussalli of Decatur, MI and Dianne (Reed) Gregerson of Kalispell, MT; grandchildren, Kristine, Dana, Luke, Ellie, David Moussalli; Aliina and Zane Gregerson; as well as many nieces and nephews here and abroad. Family will receive friends on Friday (7/27) from 6:00-8:00pm at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw, Rev. Ron Moritz officiating. Interment will be in Kalispell, Montana.
