George passed away Friday morning, January 27, 2012 at his home with his family at his side. He was born April 13, 1947 in Traverse City, MI the son of the late Dr. George and Ruth (Fairweather) Green. George was a graduate of W.M.U. with a Bachelor of Science degree and was employed by the Kalamazoo Public Schools (Loy Norrix) as a teacher and coach retiring in 1995. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw, Vice-President of the Great Lakes Buckskin Association, International Buckskin Horse Association, American Buckskin Registry Association, National Rifle Association, National Education Association and the Michigan Education Association. On December 27, 1967 in Traverse City, George was united in marriage to Lunny Dawn Pulaski who survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Barbara (Joel). Parish of Paw Paw and George E. (Kristin) Green of Portage; grandchildren, George Mason Green, Anna Parish, Ashley Parish, Audrey Parish, and Andrea Parish; brother, Dr. Robert E. Green of Elk Rapids, MI; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Family will receive friends Wednesday, (2/1) 12 noon to 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ron Moritz officiating. A luncheon will follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran School in Paw Paw or True Vine Equestrian Center in Lawton, MI. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
