passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at his home. Gary was born January 29, 1946 to the late Gene and Donna (Weston) Johnson. He owned and operated a successful outdoor advertising business, "Signs by Johnson", in Paw Paw starting in the early 80's. He then expanded his company during the late 90's, changing the name to "Sign Care Advertising", which served many businesses throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. Operating alongside his sons Jesse and Bryan, Gary was forced to retire in 2008 due to illness. Gary is survived by 3 sons, Jesse Johnson, Sr., Bryan Johnson and Jeremy Johnson; grandchildren, Jesse Johnson, Jr., Ondrea Johnson and Mackenna Johnson; sister, Brenda and brothers, Eric and Christopher; uncle, Dane Johnson; niece, Michelle and nephew, Michael. Gary was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Johnson. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 6 pm at the Full Gospel Apostolic Church, Paw Paw, Pastor William Chapman officiating. Please check back soon for service times.
