Garry Jay Yack, 82, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at his home. He was born on June 14, 1938 in Kingsley, MI, the son of Herbert and Sophia (Sarski) Yack.
He worked at the state hospital where he met his future wife, Jeane D. Weaver. They were married on July 20, 1968. He later graduated as Salutatorian from Kingsley High School. He was a Union member of IBEW Local 131 for over 50 years. Garry enjoyed gardening, yard work, watching baseball, big Tigers fan, enjoying old westerns on TV., playing cards, and having weekly breakfast with other retired electricians.
Surviving are his Son, Robert Yack, Daughters, Cynthia (Arthur) Pizzello, Gayla (Timothy) Magnan, and Laura May, a Sister, Arlene Yack, two Grandchildren, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Garry was preceded in death by his parents, his Wife, Jeane D. Yack in 2008, Daughter, Jill Wilgenhof, Son, Butch Raven, and Brothers, Marvin Yack and Robert Yack.
There will be a graveside service held Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Almena Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Dyke officiating. There will be a time of food and fellowship to follow at the Pavilion at the Almena Township Hall.
