Ethel Mae Figg

Ethel Mae Figg, 87, of Paw Paw, passed away Monday, August 26, 2024, at the Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. 

She was born January 22, 1937, in Little Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Cecil Eugene Stair and Laura Mae (Miller) Stair.

Ethel was a graduate of Hartford High School Class of 1956. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker, caring for her family. 

On September 18, 1956, in Hartford, Michigan, she married Herschel Richard Figg who preceded her in death September 10, 2022.

She is survived by her son, Martell (Sherry) Figg; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. 

Ethel was preceded in death by her sons, Mahlon Randy Figg and Mallory Rusty Figg, sister, Betty Jean Sumner, and brothers, Roy Stair and Richard Eugene Stair.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Lonnie Truelove and Rev. Shannon Truelove officiating. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.
