Ernestine Camfield, 87, of Lawton, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Bronson Commons in Mattawan.
She was born March 18, 1934 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Donald B. Burlingham and Myrtle I. (Merchant) Burlingham.
Ernestine loved spending time with her family. She supported her grandchildren at their many sporting events and never missed a game. She was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved sewing projects, puzzles and reading.
On, September 23, 1950 she married Forrest E. Camfield who preceded her in death in 2003. She is also preceded in death by her son, Thomas L. Camfield and seven siblings.
She is survived by her four daughters, Carol Griffin of Paw Paw, Cindy (Steve) Belflower of Myrtle Beach, Susan Catherman of Holland and Terri (Dan Kavanaugh) Camfield of Paw Paw; seven grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, her sister, Edith Mulder and brother, Warren H. (Luci) Burlingham Sr.
Graveside services will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton, Saturday June 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. There will be a gathering immediately following at St. Julian Winery from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
