Dr. Markovich passed away Tuesday evening, October 29, 2013 at LakeView Community Hospital, Paw Paw. He was born March 31, 1916 in Lake Mine, Michigan the son of the late Anthony and Pauline (Ozanich) Markovich. Dr. Markovich was a graduate of the University of Michigan and practiced Dentistry for over 40 yeas. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Kalamazoo Valley Dental Association, and the CHI Chapter OKU Honorary Dental Society. Dr. Markovich enjoyed walking, gardening, wood carving, fishing and most of all his family. He was recognized for being a frequent blood donor. On September 12, 1942 in Decatur, MI, Dr. Markovich was united in marriage to Isabelle J. Bowers who preceded him in death on Feb. 25, 1994. Surviving area son: William (Annette) Markovich of Paw Paw; daughter: Raeanne (John) Soule of Paw Paw; grandchildren: Carrie (Justin) Tapper of Paw Paw, Nancy (Joel) Vidovic of Ann Arbor, Sara (Chris) Clasen of HoHoKus, NJ, Molly (Nick) Zygadlo of Kalamazoo, Katie (David) Bush of Marcellus and Tricia (Anthony) Mosley of Midddleville, 12 great grandchildren; brother: Ernest (Jean) Markovich of Paw Paw; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 16th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a memorial service will be held following visitation at 12 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Association for Research or the Van Buren County Red Cross.
