Douglas Earl Prehn

Douglas Earl Prehn, 61, of Portage, MI, passed away Thursday April 29, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital.

He was born June 6, 1959 in Paw Paw, the son of the late Richard Prehn and Mary (Moon) Prehn.

Doug retired after 37 years of service at Knouse Foods in Paw Paw. Doug always had a  love for Harley Davidson Motorcycles. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and listening to music. Having no children, Doug treated his nieces and nephews as his children. He had many friends and was loved by all.

On, October 9, 1998, he married Tamara (VanSweden) Prehn who survives.

He is also survived by his brother, Dan (Diane) Prehn; two sisters, Janet (Lester) Haywood and Tina Prehn, two stepsons, Richard (Paula) Bloomberg and Edward (Michelle) Bloomberg, along with many nieces and nephews.

Douglas was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Prehn and his nephew Dan Prehn, Jr.

Cremation will take place. There will be a graveside service held Friday, May 7, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton, with Rev. Ron Packer officiating.
