Donna Louise Bricker was born on November 22, 1933 in East Chicago, Indiana the daughter of Donald and Iris (Merrifield) Tucker. She passed away peacefully on September 27, 2017 at Maple Lake Assisted Living with family by her side.
Donna worked for many years for Portage Public Schools until her retirement. In 1995 she met her future husband Jack. They enjoyed an idyllic retirement, spending their winters in Punta Gorda, Florida and their summers in Portage, Michigan. Every spring she looked forward to her time in Michigan because it was so important that she remain closely involved in the lives of her family. There were many happy times spent with their families in both states.
She leaves behind to mourn her passing, her husband Jack Bricker, children Ronald (Theresa) Winchester of Mattawan, Michael Powers of Kalamazoo, sister Dorothy Tucker of Kalamazoo, grandson Seth Winchester of Wyoming, Michigan; who was her pride and joy, stepsons David (Hettie) Bricker of Florida and Terry Bricker of Pennsylvania. Preceding her in death were her parents and husbands Oscar Winchester and Bob Powers.
The family is so very thankful to the staff at Maple Lake Assisted Living and to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan for the loving care they gave to Donna since last October. Those who wish to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Alzheimer’s Association. Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private memorial. Arrangements have been entrusted to Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw, Michigan.
