Donna passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Donna was born December 18, 1929 in Lawrence, the daughter of the late Fremont and Florence (Adams) Wright. She was employed for 37 years with the Eliason Corporation in Kalamazoo. Donna was a member of the Lawrence United Methodist Church for over 61 years where she was very active in many different activities and committees. She was also a long time Lioness with the Lawrence Lions Club. Above all else Donna loved her family and always put them first as they were the most important part of her life. On July 21, 1951 Donna was united in marriage to her loving husband, Llewelyn "Lew" Bowen who preceded her in death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Carr. Donna is survived by her children, Brenda Benedict, Wanda (Robert) Barr and Kenneth Bowen; 6 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Alice Rewalt, Helen (Gene) Carr and Beulah (Paul) Shadley. Family will receive friends on Monday (1/14) from 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Lawrence United Methodist Church, Pastor Cliff Radtke and Pastor Ron Brooks officiating. Interment will follow, Hill Cemetery, Lawrence. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawrence Methodist Church or the Lions Club.
