Donald passed away Thursday morning, February 7, 2013 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born February 4, 1947 in Kalamazoo the son of the late William E. and E. Inez (Morrow) Morris. Don was a veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force and obtained the rank of Sergeant. He was a printer for Kalamazoo Valley Community College and later worked for Meijer on West Main in the hardware department and was known as "Discount Don". Don enjoyed the Detroit Lions, Detroit Red Wings, having deck parties, family genealogy and most of all he loved his family. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw where he shared his faith and witnessed to his friends. On August 11, 1979 in Kalamazoo, Don was united in marriage to Karen M. Fleckenstein who survives. Also surviving are 4 children, Stephen (Kim) Morris of Fulton, MI, Susanna (Christopher) Sandoval of Upland, CA. Matthew Morris of Portage and Nathan Morris of Paw Paw; grandchildren, Daphka Morris and granddaughter (due in April) Sophia Sandoval; brother William (Carolyn Stevens) Morris of Portage; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Morris. Family will receive friends Sunday 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery at 2 p.m. with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Worrier Project, Trinity Lutheran Church or West Michigan Cancer Center.
