David John Smead

David John Smead, 78, of Paw Paw, MI, passed away Saturday December 16, 2023, at his home.

He was born January 21, 1945, in Kalamazoo, the son of Lloyd Smead and Marian (Reynolds) Smead.

Dave enjoyed fishing, watching TV shows, especially anything ScFi. He also had a love for cars and enjoyed going to the various car shows around the area. He was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Paw Paw where he enjoyed men's bible study and playing corn hole afterwards.

He is survived by his loving wife, Monie (Grim) Smead, daughter, Amy (John) Fuller; son, David Craig Smead; three grandchildren, Brandy (Cody) Kelley, Seth Brooks and Todd Fuller; two great grandchildren, Robert and RyLynn, brother, Larry (Brenda) Smead; sister, Kathy (Patrick) Pitcher; sister in law, Alice Smead, along with many nieces and nephews.

David was preceded in death by his brother, Otto Smead.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Paw Paw, 32464 East Red Arrow Hwy, Paw Paw, where a memorial service will commence at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Buddy Turner officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church in Paw Paw.
