David William Russ

David William Russ, 79, of Paw Paw,  passed away Tuesday July 27, 2021 at his home.

David was born July 20, 1942 in Lawton, Michigan, the son of William Roudolph Russ and Grace Marian (Wersba) Russ.

David had a longtime interest and passion for flying model airplanes, working model trains and model boats. Years ago he and his dad built a RC tugboat that he cherished. He also enjoyed spending time fishing. David proudly served his country in the Navy and was a member of RedArrow Ministries in Paw Paw.

On November 19, 1983 he married Brenda Jane (Goodrich) Russ who survives.

He is also survived by his three daughters, Shana (Skip) Arter, Sandi Haywood-Russ and Jayme Meachum; two sons, Nicholas J. Russ and LeRoy M. Russ; sister, Ellen (Gary) Watkins; seven grandchildren, MaKayla, Harley, Logan, Carl Jr., Ernest Jr., Ray and Nenna, great-grandchildren, Hunter, Benjamin, Letty, Bentley and Louis; three nephews, Scott, Kevin and Steve, along with his loving canine companion, Jessie.

Cremation will take place. There will be a celebration of life August 14, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Kid's Paradise, Saint Joseph Street, Paw Paw. Please feel welcome to bring a dish to pass.
