David Symmons Geren

David Symmons Geren, age 57, of Kalamazoo, MI, died at Bronson Hospital on February 27, 2020 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on  September 28, 1962 in Kalamazoo, the son of Alfred and Jacqueline (Bright) Geren and has lived in the Kalamazoo area for his entire life.

Dave graduated from Mattawan High School and will be remembered as a loving and caring person, who despite numerous health challenges constantly remained upbeat and in good spirits. Gifted with musical ability, he wrote, arranged, and recorded his own music and throughout the years played in several local bands. Dave had a great sense of humor that will be missed by all those who knew him.

Dave is survived by his brothers, Ken, Joe, and Mike Geren and his two nephews, Shawn and Ben. David was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Jacqueline.

Cremation has taken place, per Dave's wishes and services will be private. Interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park in Kalamazoo. Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association. To sign the online guest book, go to www.adamspawpaw.com.
