Dallas K. Rauker, age 21, Kalamazoo, formerly of Lawton passed away suddenly, Monday, October 19, 2015 in Reine, Norway from a mountain hiking accident. He was vacationing in Reine, Norway while attending Hogeschool Utrecht, University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht, Netherlands. Dallas was born July 21, 1994 in Kalamazoo the son of Fred and Renae (Maxwell) Rauker. Dallas was an honor student at Lawton High School and Western Michigan University. He was to graduate in the spring of 2016 with a degree in Integrated Supply Management and a minor degree in International Business. He thoroughly enjoyed playing football for 4 years at Lawton High School and was an avid sky diver at Skydive Allegan. He enjoyed playing golf, snow-boarding, wake boarding, skate boarding and hiking. He learned and receive his certificate in scuba diving while on a trip to Australia with Western Michigan University's travel abroad program his freshman year in college. Dallas was a very kind, light-hearted young man with high ambitions. His life was short, but lived it to the utmost fullest. Dallas lived his favorite saying: "ONE LIFE, ONE CHANCE." Surviving are his parents: Fred and Renae Rauker of Lawton; brother, Garrett Rauker of Chicago, IL; sister, Alicia (Brandon Slaughter) Ruble; niece, Aleyah Slaughter; two nephews, Carter and Camdyn Slaughter all of Kalamazoo; paternal grandmother, Beverly J. Rauker; maternal grandparents, Bill and Lorraine Maxwell; uncle, Chad (Pam) Maxwell all of Lawton; cousin, Mckenzie Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Walter A. Rauker and an aunt, Julia Rauker. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 14th, 12 noon at the Lawton High School auditorium with Rev. Ron Packer officiating.
