Dale O. Beach, 96, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 12, 2016.Dale was born on September 30, 1919, to Clarence and Lucy (Fike) Beach, in Decatur Township, Van Buren County, Michigan. He served his country in the Army Air Corp as a Staff Sergeant during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, McGowan-Johnson Post # 68, Paw Paw, and Glendale Baptist Church.Dale was united in marriage to Nellie Mae Middaugh on September 30, 1949 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Together, they owned and operated the family dairy farm from 1956 until their retirement. Prior to full-time farming, Dale worked for the Michigan State Highway Department in Paw Paw. During retirement he enjoyed woodworking, gardening, his Morgan horses, and working in his woods.Surviving are seven children: Sandra Beach, Marcia Beach, Dianna (Terry) Bell, Ken (Gayle) Beach, Spencer Beach, Anna (Dean) Ronk, Vanessa (Ed) Ignacek, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.Preceding Dale in death is his wife of 55 years, Nellie, daughter Teresa, and grandson Edward Ignacek III.Honoring his wishes, private graveside services with military rites were held at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan, Michigan.Memorial contributions may be directed to the Veterans Memorial Park, payable to the American Legion Post #68, Paw Paw, Michigan.
