Christian Paul Hill

Christian Paul Hill peacefully passed away on January 30, 2022, at the age of 51, at his home in Lawrence. He had been battling lung infections for several years. Christian loved so much of what life had to offer and he lived it to the fullest! He grew up in St. Joseph where he made lifelong friends and graduated from St. Joseph High School. Following high school, Christian went on to attend KVCC, but his dream was music school. He enjoyed a very successful 28 year career in the banking industry, where he also made many wonderful friends. His loving and compassionate soul allowed him to make friends with everyone he met.

Christian was a man of many talents and hobbies, excelling at them all. One of his hobbies was magic, he performed with his wife. They did many magic shows for children through the banks "Grow up Great" program. He also performed, with his wife, at the Paw Paw Wine and Harvest Festival a few times and did many kids shows. Being the entertainer, he enjoyed his music and played guitar with his band at high school dances.  He played with Tesla in 2005 at the State Theater in Kalamazoo. For a short time after high school, he moved to St. Louis with his band in an attempt to make it big. He raced BMX Bikes for a time as well and has many trophies. Being an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed teaching his nephew to hunt, fish, camp and play guitar. He even dabbled in fish taxidermy for a time.

He and his wife Dianna moved to their property on the Paw Paw River ten years ago. This was his paradise as he could hunt his property and fish the river. He broke trails throughout to ride ATV's and enjoy the land. When there was enough snow, they were able to ride snowmobiles from home to the trails.

Christian was united in marriage on March 19, 2014, to Dianna (Searles) Hill whom survives.

He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Ghost and Nia, his mother in law, Rebecca Searles, mother in law, Karen Nast, brother in law, Scott (Kyle) Searles, sister in law, Cassie Riddle, niece, Charlette Riddle, nephew, Brayden Sloothaak, step mother, Kim Hill, sister, Britt Hill and brother, Drew Hill.

Christian was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte (Stout) Moore, his father, Scott Hill, his father in law, David Searles, and his dogs Zapp, Farbi and Zonda.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
