Catherine passed away at her home on June 28, 2013. She was born on February 4, 1920 in Huntington, IN the only child of the late Orville Henry and Ethel (Lowery) Dibble. She grew up in Marion, IN and graduated from Marion High School in 1939. She worked for Hill's Department Store in Marion, IN and then for Dr. Hazlett, DDS. On June 19, 1944 at the First Methodist Church, Marion, IN she was united in marriage Richard Wm. Brock. They moved to Kalamazoo, MI along with his three children. She was past president of the Van Buren Co. United Way, a member of AARP, and past historian of the Paw Paw First Christian Church. She was attending West Oshtemo Baptist Church at the time of her death. She loved art, painting, drawing and sending her cards to friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, in 1988, mother in 1949, father in 1959, daughter, Cheryl Ann Brock in 1955, grandson, Ronald E. Kendell, Jr. in 2000 and a great grandson, Matthew Kendell in 1983. Surviving are a son, Jay Dee (Gloria) Brock of Parma, MI, four daughters, Joyce Lee (David) Sager, Sr. of Paw Paw, Joan Elizabeth (Gerald) Rose of Roy, Utah, Mary Arlene (Ronald) Kendall, Sr. of Lawrence, MI and Carol Mae Brock of Paw Paw;17 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren and 31 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw and Tuesday, 10 to 11 a.m. where funeral services will be held following Tuesday's visitation at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease or the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
