KEISTER, Carroll E. "Buck"

Lawton

Carroll E. "Buck" Keister of Lawton, MI; age seventy-seven, went home to be with his Lord on March 10, 2014 at 12:59 a.m. Born March 31, 1936 in Jacksonville, Arkansas, the son of Teddy and Senora (Dotson) Keister. Survivors include his wife of fifty-three years, Juanita (Mansfield) Keister; two daughters; Becky Burgett & husband David of Grand Rapids and Carol McKee and husband Gus of Caledonia; four sons, Dan Keister and wife Deb of Paw Paw, Mark Keister and wife Heidi of Paw Paw, George Keister and wife Andria of Lawton, and Carl Keister of Lawton; nineteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also, surviving are his beloved siblings which include four sisters and two brothers. He was a wonderful, devoted, husband and father of six children, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy. His interests included fishing, farming, watching football ("red dog em'), and gardening with his grandchildren. Most of all, his family was everything to him. He never owned much in material possessions as his most prized treasures were the things that money could not buy. He enjoyed fellowship with his church family at the Full Gospel Church of Paw Paw, Michigan. He was a true southern gentleman who charmed his way into his wife's heart many years ago with his crooked smile, and singing made-up songs such as "love you little, love you big, love you like a little pig." Family will receive visitors on Thursday, March 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Full Gospel Church, 32560 56th Avenue, Paw Paw, Michigan where the funeral will also be held on Friday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. Host Pastor, Reverend William Chapman along with the Reverend Larry McEndarfer, Jr. and the Reverend Arthur Mahler will be officiating. Graveside service to follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton Michigan. Please visit www.adamspawpaw.com to sign the guest book or share a memory.
