Carole passed away Thursday morning, February 16, 2012 at her home with her family at her side. She was born Oct. 21, 1944 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Calvin Theodore and Dora (Beyer) Mangan. Carole was the Register of Deeds for Van Buren County and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw, the National Street Rod Association and enjoyed the outdoors. On July 9, 1966 in Paw Paw, Carole was united in marriage to John P. Motycka, Jr. who survives. Also surviving are 3 sons, John Motycka III of Mattawan, Thomas (Tara) Motycka of Lawton and, Michael (Kathy) Motycka, of Mattawan; 2 grandchildren, Aubrey Motycka and Dylan Mack. Family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 19th, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Paw Paw and Monday 12 noon to 1 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ron Moritz officiating. A luncheon will follow services at the Lawton Community Center. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice in Kalamazoo.
