Carol Irene (Belsey) Lowes

Carol Irene Lowes (Belsey) was born at home in Midland, Ontario Canada, May 3, 1934, the fifth of six children to Dora and Alfred Belsey. She married Hubert Lowes July 3, 1954. Hugh, husband and best friend, preceded her in death May 25, 2010. Five children were born from this union: Timothy (Kimberly) Lowes, Kimberlay (Michael) Meyers, Janice (John) Hall, Debbie (Dan) Black, Steven Lowes (deceased).

Carol attended elementary and secondary school in Canada and college & university in the United States. She belonged to the Rebecca’s, P.E.O. organizations. She with her husband Hugh, spent many happy years ministering through the United Methodist Church for their friend and Savior Jesus. Carol’s last years were spent living between the U.S. and Canada.

She leaves to be remembered her four children, brothers; Earl (Helen) and Pat Belsey, sisters; Murelanne (John) Charter and Betty (Gordon) Casey, brother-in-law; Carl Newen, dear in-laws and friends, 12 wonderful grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Carol always considered her life a very special life, commenting often “what a God is ours”.

Family will receive friends Saturday, December 31, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Lam giving final words of consolation and prayer at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave, Paw Paw. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Franklin Graham Ministries.
