Carol passed away Sunday afternoon, November 25, 2012 in Battle Creek. She was born January 4, 1927 in Kalamazoo the daughter of the late Jerome and Florence (Beatty) Thornburg. She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Hassler; daughter Rebecca Hassler and a son Larry Hassler. Surviving are 5 children, Erneen (Anthony) Maddox of Kalamazoo, Florence (Jim) Love of Knoxville, TN, Allan (Linda) Hassler of Paw Paw, Ernie (Sherrie) Hassler of Kalamazoo and Christal (Chris) Landry of New Orleans, LA; sister, Lucille Boley of Battle Creek many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, Kalamazoo. A grave side service will be held at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery, Lawton.
