Carl passed away Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born May 6, 1937 in Benton Township, the son of Carleton and Vera (Malusk) De Morrow. He was employed at Dibble Concrete Products and later General Motors in Kalamazoo, retiring when the plant closed. Carl was a handy man, jack-of-all-trades, a lover of animals and history, and had visited all 50 states at least once.
On May 17, 1958 in Stevensville, Carlton was united in marriage to Alice Litke, who survives. In addition to his wife of 55 years, he is survived by three daughters, Gwen Taylor of Mattawan, Teresa Purcell of Milbank, SD and Denise Kelley of Portage; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Wayne (Mardene) Kelley of Columbus, OH and a sister Joyce Jorgeson of Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
Family will receive friends Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw. A graveside service will take place Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel at North Shore Memory Gardens, Coloma. Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
