Carl Amos Simm

Carl Amos Simm, 80, of Lawton, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023.

He was born December 26, 1942, in Dearborn, MI, the son of the late John Simm and Jean M. (Carriveau) Simm.

Carl had been a Longtime member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Paw Paw. He was a proud Army Veteran. Carl loved his annual salmon fishing trips, was exceptionally skilled in auto body repair and restoration, and always ready to lend a hand to those in need.

He is survived by his two sons, John C. (Tanya) Simm of Brighton, MI, and Carl A. (Jawanna) Simm Jr. of Allen Park, MI; one brother, John "Butch" D. (Nancy) Simm of Allen Park, MI; two grandchildren, Christopher G. (Becca) Simm of Allen Park, MI, and Chandler A. Simm of Dearborn, MI.

Carl was preceded by his wife, Dianne Jo (Kent) Simm, who preceded him in death in 2015.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, December 18, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw. Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Rev. Phillip Phifer officiating. Carl will be placed to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery at a later date.
