Bruce David Shannon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce David Shannon, a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and cherished brother and friend, who left us on October 12, 2024.

Bruce was born on September 22, 1951, in Dowagiac, MI, to Harold and Catherine Shannon who have both passed on. Bruce grew up on the Shannon turkey farm in Volinia, MI, and enjoyed playing basketball and football for Marcellus High School.

Bruce leaves behind his wife, Grace Shannon; his sisters, Star Milloy and Shirley (Bob) Cropsey; his children, Holly (Mike) Galvin, Heather (Curtis) Marshall, Caleb (Ashley) Shannon, Tracy Johnson, and Scott Stanfill; his grandchildren, Ben, Grace, Anjali, Kaitlyn, Curtis, Riley, Luciana, Mason, and Madison; and his nephews, Luke (Heather) Cropsey, Matthew (Mandy) Cropsey, Joshua (Nanette) Cropsey, John (Jess) Cropsey, Allan Milloy, Don Milloy, and Mike Milloy; along with numerous cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

Bruce prioritized being with family, being at the lake, making homemade ice cream, and playing games. He will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., at the Hartford United Methodist Church.
