Bonnie Sue Williams, 85, of Mattawan, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
She was born January 5, 1939, in Crockett, Tennessee, the daughter of Woodrow William Rylant and Odessa U. (Lentz) Rylant.
By fate, Bonnie became next door neighbors to a young man by the name of Millard Williams when she was 16. On June 15, 1956, in South Bend, Indiana, they were married. Bonnie and Millard enjoyed 53 wonderful years together until Millard's passing on April 8, 2010.
Bonnie enjoyed testing her luck at the casinos, shopping days and bowling with her friends and family. She took pride in maintaining a clean and safe home for her children and grandchildren. Bonnie could often be found relaxing on her front porch and enjoying the solace her neighborhood brought her. Her biggest priority was always her family and she loved nothing more than spending time with them.
She is survived by her three daughters, who she was extremely proud of, Deborah (Lester) Williams, Lisa (David) Whipple and Denise Hughes, she is also survived by her eight beloved grandchildren, Nick Williams, John Whipple, Joseph (Maile) Whipple, Amanda Whipple, Bailey Daigle, Joey Whipple, Adam Whipple and Brandy (Ryan) Holewa; eight great-grandchildren and sister, Linda (Rod) Fosdick.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Millard; brother, Everett Rylant and sister, Shirley Smith.
Family and friends are invited to visit Tuesday, May 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home, 502 W. Michigan Avenue, Paw Paw, where a memorial service will commence with Rev. Shannon Truelove officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest next to Millard at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mattawan immediately following.
