Bobby Alan Kniss, age 59, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 at his home in Paw Paw with family by his side, ending his 5 year battle with cancer. He was born June 23, 1955 in Kalamazoo, MI. He served in the Michigan National Guard (1976-1981) and was most recently employed as a driver for B&B Trucking in Kalamazoo. He enjoyed riding his Harley and dune buggy, hunting, fishing, home improvement projects and was a collector of other's trash, which he turned into treasures. On July 4, 2006 in Paw Paw, Bobby was united in marriage to Peggy Beth Eberhart who survives. Bobby has 3 children, Kelly Jo Johnson, Robert "Bobby" W. Kniss, Kristy Sherburn; step-son, Matthew Blue; grandchildren, Taylor Murdock and Lillie Kniss; great grandchildren, Destiny Kay and Mattisyn Sue; five siblings, Carl (Marge) Baty of Port St. Lucie, FL, Deanna Kniss, Debbie (Mike) Gregory, Libby Lull, Michael Kniss all of Kalamazoo. Bobby also has many well- loved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. He is dearly missed by his puppy dogs: Baby Cakes, Bella, Rocky, Little Bill, Nancy and Shorty (deceased). Hwas preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Kniss and his mother, Nancy A. Dinstet. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends Saturday, June 27, 2015, 2 to 3 p.m. at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1515 Helen Avenue, Portage, MI where a celebration of Bobby's life will be held following visitation at 3 PM.
