Beverly passed away Saturday evening, September 17, 2011 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo. She was born October 20, 1946 in Lawrence, MI the daughter of the late Norman D. and Donna B. (Hopkins) Grant. She received her BA Degree in Music from Western Michigan University and played at local churches and choral groups. Beverly played the Celtic Harp at medieval festivals, was a science fiction fan and wrote skits and music for Science Fiction conventions in Lansing, MI. She enjoyed astronomy, archaeology, history, traveling, visiting friends, knitting and needle work. Surviving are a brother, Norman (Mary J.) Grant of Kalamazoo; nieces, Dr. Alta DeRoo and her children Alta Mary and Miles Joseph of Rockville, MD; Prudence Scott and her children, Kyleigh and Zachary from Peoria, AZ; cousins, Carol (Bill) Barnes, Doris Filer, Anne (Bob) Cartwright and Marti (Frank) Hubel. Family will receive friends Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. A memorial mass will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica's Catholic Church, Kalamazoo with Rev. Fr. Lawrence M. Farrell officiating. Interment of cremains will be in Hill Cemetery, Lawrence at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Monica's Catholic Church or Rose Arbor Hospice, Kalamazoo.
