passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at the St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Fl. Art was born February 19, 1935 in East Chicago, IN, the son of the late Arthur and Jean (Filipowski) Pendowski. Art was an avid woodworker and loved to grab a microphone to sing karaoke. He was also known for leaving a voicemail saying simply "Dupa". More than anything, he loved spending time with his family. Art was a lucky man to have found two loves in his lifetime. His first marriage of 45 years was to Marlene Houtman, who passed away in 2001. On January 15, 2009 Art was united in marriage to his loving wife, Maggi (Folkers), who survives. Also surviving are 7 children, Cindy (Perry) Stoppa, Mike (Andrea) Pendowski, Jean (Jim) Garland, Joe Pendowski, Greg (Cathy) Pendowski, Tony (Lisa) Pendowski and Tammy Jozo; 6 step-children, Cy (Kathy) Voelkel, Lisa (Wayne) Wuttke, Hank Voelkel, Rachel (Kevin) Bowman, Eve (Paul) Quigley and Robert (Kerri) Voelkel; 35 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; sister, Rita (Wyatt) Watson and beloved brother, Tom Pendowski. Family will receive friends Sunday (2/19) from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a rosary service will be held at 3:30pm. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday (2/20) 11am at St. John Bosco, Mattawan. Interment will follow at the Hope Cemetery, Texas Township.
