Arthur Floyd Cober, 83, of Mattawan, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Borgess Medical Center Kalamazoo.
He was born July 30, 1936 in Herrietta, Michigan, the son of William Cober and Inez (Hamilton) Cober.
Arthur proudly served his country in the Air Force, retiring after 22 years of service. He was then employed at Western Michigan University power plant until his retirement. Arthur's passion was hunting and fishing in his free time. He took pride in teaching the sport to his family and friends. Arthur loved seeing someone get their turkey, deer or catching that big fish.
On, July 31, 1965, he married Helen Niemi Cober who survives.
He is also survived by his two sons, Robert (Tammy) Cober and John Cober; one grandson, William Cober; two sisters, Cheryl Cober and Bonnie (Arnold) Castle, along with nieces, nephews and his many hunting and fishing buddies and his beloved dog Sadie. Arthur was preceded in death by his brothers, William "Bud", Robert and Alfred, sisters, Lucille, Dorismae, Marry Ann and Donna.
The family will receive friends Sunday, January 12, 2020 beginning at 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Adams Funeral Home, 502 West Michigan Ave., Paw Paw.
