April May (Root) Wadkins

April May (Root) Wadkins, 54, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday April 5, 2022, at her home in Lawton.

She was born April 10, 1967 in Kalamazoo , Michigan, the daughter of Brent Root, Sr..and Delene (Dauphinais) Root.

April will be remembered for her strong will and bold personality. She always stood up for what she believed in and had no trouble making friends. Her family was most important and having gatherings to bring them all together. She had a strong faith and trusted in the Lord. April enjoyed the outdoors fishing and hunting. She was also an avid NASCAR fan and liked working with arts and crafts. She was not one to waste anything and would keep just about anything from discarding it.

April is survived by her parents, Brent Root, Sr..and Delene (Dauphinais) Root, two daughters, Brandi Root and Destinee Wadkins, three grandchildren, Bailey Hudson, Richard Richards and Oliver Haas along with one, brother, Brent Root, Jr.

April was preceded in death by her life partner, William "Bill" Sykes.

Cremation has taken place. Services for April will be held at a later date.
