Anna passed away Thursday afternoon, January 19, 2012 at Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center, Lawton. She was born December 15, 1916 in Austria the daughter of Michael and Margareta (Hettrich) Pretz. She was employed as a cook at Western Michigan University until her retirement and was a member of St. Mary's Church, Paw Paw. She was united in marriage to Eric Furman in 1953 IN Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death in January of 1990. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, John Schuetz during World War II, brother, Mathias and an infant daughter, Rosalia. Surviving are 5 children, John Schuetz of Pine Bluff Arkansas, Anna Weissmann and Alfred (Elena) Fuhrmann both of Chicago, Illinois, Johanna Kief of Germany and Eric (Jean) Fuhrmann of Lawrence; 9 grandchildren; 13 Great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday (1/23) 4 to 8 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw where a vigil service will be held at Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr. Joseph Xavier celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Paw Paw. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church Building Fund or St. Mary's School.
