Alice passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at her home. She was born Oct. 15, 1926 In Harlan, KY the daughter of the late William and Flava (Farmer) White. She enjoyed bowling with her husband at Rainbow Lanes. On April 29, 1944 in Battle Creek, Alice was united in marriage to Roy L. Hess who preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2013. Alice is survived by a daughter, Alice Hopson of Apopka, FL; sons, Roy Jr. of Otsego and Russell of Lake Station, IN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Donald and Curtis White and a sister, Muriel Aldrich. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Mattawan. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Paw Paw Lions Club. Arrangements are by the Adams Funeral Home, Paw Paw.
